We process your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and as described below.

1. DEFINITIONS

  • "Platform" refers to the PLAYER website, mobile apps, and associated services.

  • "Personal Data" refers to any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

  • "Cookies" are small text files placed on your device to collect information about your browsing activities.

2. WHO WE ARE AND WHO THIS POLICY COVERS

PLAYERAPP LTD, located at 4th Floor Charles House, 108–110 Finchley Road, London, United Kingdom, NW3 5JJ, is the data controller responsible for your Personal Data in all regions where the Platform is available. This Privacy Policy covers our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your Personal Data when using the Platform.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Data: Includes your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and other contact details.

  • Football-related Data: Includes your football club history, performance data, and other career-related information.

  • Content Data: Includes photos, videos, and other content you upload to the Platform.

  • Usage Data: Includes information about how you use the Platform, such as IP address, browser type, and operating system.

4. HOW AND WHY WE USE INFORMATION

We use your Personal Data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Platform. This includes enabling you to create and manage your player profile, which may be shared for recruitment and visibility purposes. These links are optional and controlled by you in your account settings, or by emailing us at hello@playerapp.co. These links may be accessible to non-registered users solely for recruitment and evaluation purposes.

  • Manage your account and provide customer support.

  • Communicate with you, including sending updates, notifications, and (with your consent) promotional messages.

  • Analyse usage patterns and improve our services.

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected, as described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.

4A. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We store and process data primarily in the United Kingdom.

Certain trusted service providers (including AWS, Google Analytics, and Firebase) may process data in other jurisdictions, such as the United States. Where this occurs, PLAYERAPP LTD ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place to maintain an equivalent level of protection.

We apply appropriate safeguards and contractual measures to ensure that any international data transfers provide an equivalent level of protection as required under applicable data-protection laws.

5. SHARING INFORMATION

We may share your personal data with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: With trusted third parties who provide services on our behalf, such as data hosting, analytics, and customer support. These providers are carefully selected to support the operation of the Platform and are required to handle personal data securely and in compliance with applicable data protection laws. These service providers may include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Analytics, and Firebase, which provide secure hosting, analytics, and communication functions. Each acts as a data processor under contractual terms that meet international data-transfer requirements.

  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or other business transaction, your personal data may be transferred as part of that process, subject to applicable data-protection laws.

  • Legal requirements: Where necessary to comply with legal obligations or to protect our rights and the rights, property, or safety of others.

  • Profile sharing: Your profile and related personal data (such as your name, position, date of birth, career history, and videos) may be accessible to non-registered users for recruitment, visibility and evaluation purposes. You can disable profile sharing at any time in your account settings, or by emailing us at hello@playerapp.co, after which previously issued links will no longer provide access.

We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties.

6. PROFILE AND VIDEO SHARING

Certain parts of your player profile and videos may be accessible to non-registered users for recruitment and visibility purposes. This feature is entirely optional and under your control. The links are intended for recruitment and evaluation purposes only and are not publicly searchable or indexable by search engines.

The information visible through a shared link may include your name, profile picture, football-related details (such as club history, position, and physical data), and any photos, videos, or other content you upload to your profile. Other processing of your profile data (such as hosting and maintenance within the Platform) continues under the lawful bases described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.

You may withdraw your consent and disable sharing at any time in your account settings or by emailing us at hello@playerapp.co. Once disabled, previously issued links will no longer function. PLAYERAPP LTD, its officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates may revoke or disable links if we identify misuse, unauthorised distribution, or risks to user privacy.

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We generally retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. For example, web server logs containing information like IP addresses and browser types are kept for approximately 30 days to analyse traffic and investigate issues.

8. SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
