Safeguarding Guidelines
Practical guidance for clubs, scouts, agents and recruitment staff communicating with players through PLAYER Connect.
Respectful communication
Communicate professionally and respectfully at all times. Players, clubs and other reviewers should feel they are treated as you would expect to be treated yourself.
Club permission
Ensure you have appropriate authority to communicate on behalf of your club or organisation. If a player is currently registered with a club or academy, contact the club first where appropriate.
Under-18 players
Exercise additional care when communicating with players under 18. Where appropriate, involve parents, guardians or relevant club representatives. Direct approaches to minors may breach safeguarding rules in some leagues or associations.
Appropriate conduct
Use PLAYER Recruit only for genuine recruitment, trial and football-related opportunities. Do not use the platform for unrelated commercial outreach or personal contact.
