TERMS & CONDITIONS

Part A - General Terms

Version 2.0. Effective 06/12/2026. These terms apply to everyone who uses PLAYER.

A1. About these terms

1.1 PLAYER is operated by Playerapp Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14382941), registered office 15 Canfield Place, London NW6 3BT, United Kingdom (“PLAYER”, “we”, “us”).

1.2 These terms are made up of three parts:

  • Part A (General Terms) applies to everyone who uses the PLAYER website, web app, mobile apps and related services (the “Platform”).

  • Part B (Product Terms) applies on top of Part A when you buy or use a specific product: PLAYER Connect (B1), PLAYER Recruit (B2), or an event or Talent ID Day (B3). Some paid products are sold by a different company in our group, named in that Part.

  • Part C (Recruitment Conduct and Safeguarding Policy) applies to everyone who contacts or is contacted by another user.

1.3 If Part A and a Part B say different things, the Part B wins for that product.

1.4 Our [Privacy Policy] explains how we use personal data and our [Safeguarding Policy] explains how we protect young people. Both form part of these terms.

A2. Who can use PLAYER

2.1 You must be at least 16 to create an account. If we find an account belonging to someone under 16, we will delete it and its data.

2.2 To buy any paid product you must be 18 or over. A player aged 16 or 17 can only become a paying member if their parent or guardian buys the membership and accepts these terms on their behalf.

2.3 If you register on behalf of a club, agency or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these terms.

2.4 If you act as a football agent or intermediary, you are responsible for holding any licence or registration that the FA, FIFA or any other governing body requires for what you do.

A3. Your account

3.1 Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

3.2 Keep your login details secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3.3 Tell us straight away at hello@playerapp.co if you think someone else has used your account.

A4. Acceptable use

4.1 Use the Platform lawfully and only for genuine football purposes. You must not:

  • post anything illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or misleading;

  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your club, agency, level or experience;

  • harass, threaten or exploit any user;

  • contact players in breach of Part C;

  • scrape, copy, export or resell player data or other Platform content;

  • try to access other accounts or disrupt the Platform.

4.2 We may remove content or restrict, suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

A5. Your content

5.1 You keep ownership of the content you upload, such as your profile, photos, stats and video.

5.2 You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt and share your content to run and promote the Platform, including showing your profile to clubs, scouts and agents, and featuring player stories on our channels. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already published or shared before then.

5.3 You confirm you have the right to upload your content, including permission from anyone else who appears in it.

A6. Profile visibility and sharing

6.1 Your profile is visible to clubs, scouts and agents on the Platform. You can control what is shown, and whether your profile can be shared by link, in your account settings.

6.2 A shared link lets people without an account see the content you have chosen to share. If you switch sharing off, existing links stop working. We may revoke any link that is misused.

A7. What PLAYER is, and what it is not

7.1 PLAYER is a platform that helps players, clubs, scouts and agents find and contact each other.

7.2 PLAYER is not a football agent or intermediary. We do not represent players or negotiate contracts.

7.3 We do not guarantee any trial, contract, signing, scholarship, selection or professional pathway. Any agreement between users is between those users alone.

7.4 No PLAYER employee, ambassador, contractor or partner can promise you an outcome or change these terms, except in writing signed by a director of the relevant PLAYER company.

A8. Communications

8.1 We may contact you by email, phone, SMS, in-app message or social media about your account and our services.

8.2 You can opt out of marketing at any time. You cannot opt out of essential service messages while you have an account.

A9. Privacy and data

9.1 We process personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

9.2 Our data is hosted mainly in the UK. Some service providers (such as AWS, Google and Firebase) may process data in the US under appropriate safeguards.

A10. Our intellectual property

10.1 The Platform, the PLAYER name and logo (UK trade mark UK00004080045), and all our content belong to us or our licensors.

10.2 We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Platform under these terms. You may not copy, share, resell or reproduce our content without our written consent.

A11. Paid products: prices and payment

11.1 Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown at checkout, on your order form or on your invoice. Where VAT applies, we will say whether prices include or exclude it.

11.2 If you pay through an instalment provider (such as Klarna or Clearpay), your instalment agreement is with that provider, on its terms.

11.3 We may change prices for new purchases at any time. A price change will not affect a fixed term you have already paid for. For auto-renewing products we give at least 30 days’ written notice before a new price applies at renewal.

11.4 If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access to paid features until it is paid.

11.5 If you have a problem with a payment, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Where we have provided the service, we will share the evidence with your card provider.

A12. Your consumer rights

12.1 If you buy as a consumer (not for a business), you have statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

12.2 The 14-day cancellation right for each consumer product is explained in its Part B.

A13. Suspension and closing your account

13.1 You can close your free account at any time in settings or by emailing hello@playerapp.co.

13.2 We may suspend or close an account, without refund, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, breach Part C, act in bad faith, or put any user at risk. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why.

A14. Our liability

14.1 We provide the Platform “as is”. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14.2 Player information, stats and footage are mainly supplied by users. We do not verify all of it and are not responsible for decisions you make based on it.

14.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, or loss of profit, revenue or business.

14.4 Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £100.

14.5 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

A15. Third parties and partner offers

15.1 The Platform may link to other websites or include offers from partners (such as free kit or boots). We are not responsible for third-party sites or for partner products.

15.2 Partner offers are extras while stocks and partnerships last. They are not part of what you pay for, unless the Product Terms say so.

A16. Changes to these terms

16.1 We may update these terms. We will tell you about significant changes by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or safety reasons.

16.2 If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the Platform and, for paid products, cancel under the Product Terms.

A17. Complaints

17.1 Email complaints to hello@playerapp.co. We will acknowledge them within 5 business days and aim to resolve them within 20 business days.

A18. General

18.1 These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Platform. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

18.2 We may transfer our rights under these terms to another company in our group or to a buyer of our business. You may not transfer yours without our consent.

18.3 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.

A19. Law

19.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

A20. Contact

Playerapp Limited, 15 Canfield Place, London NW6 3BT, United Kingdom. General: hello@playerapp.co. Safeguarding: safeguarding@playerapp.co.

Part B1 - PLAYER Connect (player membership)

B1.1 Who you contract with

B1.2 What membership is

Connect is a 12-month membership that puts your profile in front of the clubs on PLAYER Connect and gives you access to opportunities and events. It is not a trial, an agency service or a guaranteed route into professional or semi-professional football.

B1.3 What is included

Your membership includes:

  • Club visibility: your profile can be viewed by clubs, scouts and agents on Connect;

  • Opportunities Board: access to trials and opportunities that clubs post;

  • Messaging: direct messaging with clubs that are interested in you;

  • One Talent ID Day place: a place at one PLAYER Talent ID Day during your membership (see B1.4);

  • Feedback and new features that we release to members during your term.

Features you have when you join stay available for your term, even if we later move them into a paid tier for new members.

Partner offers such as free boots or kit are extras while stocks and partnerships last, and are not part of what you pay for.

B1.4 Talent ID Days

4.1 We will announce Talent ID Day dates and venues to members by email and in-app. Places are allocated by region and are subject to capacity.

4.2 If you cannot attend the date offered for your region, we will offer you another date where one is available. If you do not attend a booked date, you are not entitled to a refund or a replacement place.

4.3 Talent ID Days are run under Part B3. Being seen at a Talent ID Day does not guarantee a trial, signing or follow-up from any club.

B1.5 Your membership term and start date

5.1 Your membership lasts 12 months from your Start Date.

5.2 Your Start Date is the day you buy, unless you buy early access to a region where Connect has not yet launched. In that case your Start Date is the day we email you to confirm your region is live.

5.3 If your region has not launched within 6 months of your purchase, you can ask for a full refund, or keep your place and wait.

B1.6 Price and payment

6.1 Membership costs £120 for 12 months, paid upfront (the equivalent of £10 a month). The price at checkout is the price you pay.

6.2 You can pay in instalments through any provider offered at checkout, such as Klarna (3 x £40) or Clearpay (4 x £30). Your instalment agreement is with that provider.

6.3 Membership does not renew automatically. We will contact you before it ends, and you can renew at the price then current.

B1.7 Cancellation and refunds

7.1 14-day cancellation right. As a consumer you can cancel within 14 days of buying by emailing hello@playerapp.co. If your membership has not started (for example, you bought early access to a region that is not live yet), you get a full refund. If you asked for access to start straight away, we may deduct a fair amount for the service you received before cancelling, or you may lose the right once the service has been fully provided, as the law allows.

7.2 After the 14 days, payments are non-refundable except under B1.5.3, B1.7.3, or where the law requires. Not using the Platform does not entitle you to a refund.

7.3 If we materially change or stop the Connect service, we will offer you a fair remedy, such as a partial refund for the unused part of your term or an equivalent replacement.

B1.8 Members aged 16 and 17

8.1 A parent or guardian must buy the membership, accept these terms and consent on the player’s behalf. We will send key information about the membership to the parent or guardian.

8.2 Contact between clubs, scouts or agents and members under 18 is governed by Part C and our Safeguarding Policy.

B1.9 Your obligations

Keep your profile accurate and up to date, behave respectfully towards clubs and other players, and follow Part C. We may suspend or end your membership without refund for serious misconduct, as set out in A13.

Part B2 - PLAYER Recruit (agents and clubs)

B2.1 Who you contract with

PLAYER Recruit is supplied by Playerapp Limited (details in A1). Recruit is a business service. By subscribing you confirm you are acting for your business, club or agency and not as a consumer.

B2.2 What Recruit is

Recruit gives subscribers search and filtering tools to find players on PLAYER by position, age, level, location and representation status, view their profiles and footage, and contact them under Part C. Club plans may also include recruitment support from the PLAYER team, as set out in your order form.

B2.3 Plans and prices

Plan: Agent - 6 months

Term: 6 months

Price (plus VAT): £720, paid upfront (equivalent to £120/month)

Plan: Agent - 12 months

Plan: Club

Price (plus VAT): As stated in your order form

Any founding member price, discount or other plan we agree with you in writing (including by email) replaces the table above for your term only.

B2.4 Payment

4.1 Payment is taken upfront by card, or by invoice where agreed. Invoices are payable within 14 days.

4.2 We may suspend access while any amount is overdue.

B2.5 Renewal and cancellation

5.1 Your subscription renews automatically for the same length of term at the end of each term, unless either of us gives at least 30 days’ written notice before the term ends. Email hello@playerapp.co to cancel.

5.2 You keep access until the end of the term you have paid for. We do not refund unused time, except under B2.10.

B2.6 Access

6.1 Each subscription is for the named user or users on your order. Logins must not be shared.

6.2 We may monitor usage to protect players and the Platform, including unusual volumes of searches, views or messages.

B2.7 No agency relationship

7.1 PLAYER is not your agent and you are not ours. We do not negotiate on your behalf or guarantee that any player will respond to you or sign with you.

7.2 You are solely responsible for complying with all rules that apply to your activity, including FA and FIFA rules on intermediaries and agents, approaches to registered players, and working with players under 18.

B2.8 Player data

8.1 You act as an independent data controller for any player data you obtain through Recruit, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

8.2 You may use player data only to assess and contact players for genuine football recruitment. You must not export, scrape, copy into other systems, sell or share it with anyone outside your organisation.

8.3 When your subscription ends you must delete any player data you have copied from the Platform, unless you have since built a direct relationship with that player for which you have your own lawful basis.

B2.9 Conduct and enforcement

9.1 You must follow Part C (Recruitment Conduct and Safeguarding Policy) in every contact with a player.

9.2 We may suspend or end your subscription immediately and without refund if you breach Part C, misuse player data, or act in bad faith towards players, clubs or PLAYER. We may report safeguarding concerns to the relevant authorities and governing bodies.

B2.10 Changes

10.1 We may change Recruit features, plans or prices with at least 30 days’ written notice. Price changes apply from your next renewal.

10.2 If a change materially reduces what you get during a paid term, you can cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part.

B2.11 Information quality

Player profiles, stats and footage are supplied mainly by players and clubs. We do not verify them all, and you should carry out your own checks before making any decision.

Part B3 - Events, Talent ID Days and PLAYER Network Live

B3.1 Scope

This Part applies to any PLAYER event, including Talent ID Days, showcase matches and PLAYER Network Live, whether you attend with a paid ticket, a membership place or a free invitation. Tickets are sold by the PLAYER company named at checkout.

B3.2 Tickets and places

2.1 Tickets are personal to the named holder. You can transfer a ticket to someone else by emailing us their name before the event.

2.2 Tickets are non-refundable unless we cancel the event. Because tickets are for an event on a specific date, the 14-day cancellation right does not apply to them.

2.3 We may change an event’s date, venue, format or speakers. If we cancel an event or move it to a date you cannot make, we will offer you a refund or an alternative.

B3.3 Taking part in football sessions

3.1 Talent ID Days and showcases involve competitive football. You take part at your own risk and confirm you are fit to play. Tell us before the event about any medical condition we or the host club should know about.

3.2 Bring suitable kit and footwear for the surface. Follow instructions from PLAYER staff, host club staff and match officials at all times.

3.3 Players under 18 need written consent from a parent or guardian to take part, and we may require a parent or guardian to attend.

3.4 Nothing in this Part limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence (see A14.5).

B3.4 Filming and photography

4.1 Events are filmed and photographed. By attending you agree we may use footage and images of you on the Platform, on our social channels and in our marketing, and share them with clubs, scouts and agents.

4.2 For players under 18, we ask the parent or guardian for this consent when they book. If you do not want to be filmed, tell a member of staff on the day.

B3.6 Conduct

We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves aggressively, abusively or unsafely, without refund.

B3.5 Host clubs and partners

Events may take place at partner clubs’ grounds. The host club’s ground rules apply while you are there. Clubs, scouts and agents attending choose for themselves whether to follow up with any player.

Part C - Recruitment Conduct and Safeguarding Policy

This policy applies to every club, scout, agent and player who sends or receives messages on PLAYER Connect or PLAYER Recruit. It forms part of these terms, so breaking it can lead to suspension or removal.

C1. Be clear about who you are

In your first message, say who you are, which club or organisation you represent, your role, and why you are getting in touch.

C2. Respect club relationships

If a player is registered with a club or academy, you should normally contact that club before approaching the player, and you must follow any rules of your league or governing body on approaching registered players.

C3. Players under 18

3.1 Contact with a player under 18 must go through their parent or guardian or their club. Do not start a recruitment conversation directly with a player you know or believe is under 18.

3.2 You must never:

  • ask a player under 18 to move a conversation to another app, social media or a personal phone number;

  • arrange to meet a player under 18 without their parent, guardian or club knowing;

  • ask for images other than standard football footage or photos;

  • ask a player to keep a conversation secret;

  • offer money, gifts or other inducements to a player under 18 or their family.

3.3 Agents must follow FA and FIFA rules on representing and approaching minors.

C4. Genuine opportunities only

Use messaging only for genuine trial, recruitment and football opportunities. Do not use it to sell your own paid services to players, to ask players for payment, or for anything unrelated to football.

C5. Follow the rules of your competition

Leagues, county FAs and governing bodies have their own rules on recruitment, trials and contact with players. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you.

C6. Our role

PLAYER provides the platform for discovery and contact. We do not check every user or read every message, and users remain responsible for their own compliance. We may review reported messages, restrict or remove accounts, and pass concerns to the club, the FA, the local authority designated officer or the police where we think someone may be at risk.

C7. Reporting a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern or think the platform is being misused, email safeguarding@playerapp.co. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is [name]. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.

C8. When in doubt

If you are not sure whether to contact a player directly, contact their club first.
